Hi, I’m Dan, and I run Rockstar Guitar—a relaxed, one-to-one tuition service for anyone wanting to start playing guitar or take their skills to the next level.

I teach students aged 6 and up, and we dive into all kinds of popular music styles—from rock and blues to pop, reggae, metal, and more. For me, music should always be about enjoyment, and learning an instrument should feel exciting, not overwhelming.

My goal is to make every lesson fun, personal, and focused on you. I tailor each session around the music you love, helping you build confidence and a solid foundation in chords, rhythm, and technique. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to break out of a rut, I’m here to help you move forward and enjoy the process.

A little more about my experience

I’ve been a professional working musician for over 20 years. Back in 2003, I studied at the London College of Music (now the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance), where I earned a Bachelor of Music degree and gained a ton of hands-on live performance experience.

Since then, I’ve performed thousands of shows across the UK and parts of Europe, playing guitar and bass with a wide range of bands and artists. Along the way, I’ve also written, recorded, and produced original music—both my own and for others.

These days, I live in the beautiful French Alps and stay busy gigging year-round with several local bands in and around Morzine and Les Gets. When I’m not on stage, I teach guitar from my studio in the quiet mountain village of Le Biot.
